APPLYING EYELINER
Eyeliner ApplicationBefore you begin applying the eyeliner, there are a few things you should do; firstly, apply any other eye makeup you want to use before adding eye liner and mascara. It may also be helpful if you remove dangly bracelets and watches as they can often get in the way or just become irritating distractions. Make sure you have a good mirror and lighting so that you can properly see what you are doing when using the eyeliner.
Eyeliner Pencil1. The eyeliner pencil should be able to draw a thin, unbroken line along your skin - test it on your hand or arm first. Either sharpen it until the line is thin enough, or if it is too thin, draw a line on a tissue, which will make the tip blunter. 2. You should hold the eyeliner pencil as you would hold a pencil or pen to write with, usually with your dominant hand. Use your other hand to stretch the eye you are going to line from the outer corner. You can rest your hand holding the pencil against the hand pulling your lid taut. 3. Don't try to focus on your whole eye lid at one time - just look at the part you are drawing on. The line should be just above your eye lashes on the top lid and just below on the bottom, and should extend just to the outer corner of your eye. 4. Be wary if your eyeliner pencil tip is quite dry, as this may pull at delicate eye tissue. Draw the line with care if this is the case.
Liquid Eyeliner1. Liquid eyeliner comes in a bottle rather like ink, and you must use a separate brush to apply. The best result will come from a point liner brush. 2. It is natural to close your eye as you draw the line, but if you keep it open, it will actually make it easier to follow the curve of your lid and thus have a straighter line. 3. You do not need to try and paint a continuous line with liquid eyeliner. It is actually easier to pain a few small dashes onto the lash line, eg. Inner corner, middle and outer corner, then go back and connect them. 4. If you want a thicker line than this initial thin one, build it up gradually. Start at the middle of the lash line and draw towards the outer corner. You can extend the line slightly past the outer corner of your eyelid if you wish.
More eyeliner advice
Rest your elbow on the table with the mirror directly in front of your face to keep your hand steady. Kneel on the floor if you need to.
If u look down into a mirror while drawing your line, it is easier to apply..
If your pencil is too "sticky" and doesn't glide on very easily, hold the point over a flame for a second--the liner will glide on! Let it cool first lol.
It also helps to run your pencil under hot water for a couple of seconds...to soften the pencil..
If you think your pencil color is too light, then you can put it above a lighter for a few seconds, but be careful becuase the pencil could catch on fire or melt the tip off..
I have been told to only put eyeliner from the outside corner to the middle of the puple. Is that correct?.
I put liquid eyeliner on the bottom lid, and it does not go stringy if you just do it right.. you have to put it *NOT* right on the part of the lid thats touching the eye, but right along the bottom lash-line, it makes ur eyes look bigger, but it doesnt look good on alot of ppl.. especially if you dont do ur bottom eyelashes :).
I have this liquid eyeliner..I cant figure out how to get it on so it looks good...anyone have any advice?
This makes a nice effect - Use two pencils - a lighter and darker shade of the same colour. Apply the lighter from the inner corner to the pupil, or just before, and then use the darker pencil to the outter edge (extending it as little or as much as you want). Then smudge the colours using either a good eyeshadow brush or your finger (go lightly). Begin by smudging only slightly then gradually increase it if neccessary. If done properly this creates a lovely smoky effect using just a black pencil too.I sometimes apply a thin line of liquid liner over the top as well.
How do I apply liquid eyeliner without getting it on my eyelashes? When it gets on my eyelashes then mascara does not work right.
I have been told not to apply eyeliner on the whole bottom or top lid. Only apply it on the outside corner of your eye. It looks beautiful!!
I use an eyeliner pen (like a felt tip) on my upper & lower lids, its really easy to use. I use one from Avon. The top line is easy. I never get the lower line exactly right, but I don't worry as I always use a damp cotton bud to tidy up & get a perfect look. I apply shadow after liner as it looks softer.
I use eyeliner almost everyday when going to school etc. I put my eyeliner on the 'lidge' of the bottom of my eye. I don't know if its correct or not. I comes off really easily though. If you know a better way please let me know. Thanks

HOW TO APPLY MAKEUP
There is no set way to apply cosmetics, but there are some tricks you can use to get the best results from your application.
The first step is to have a clean, moisturized face.
Then start with your foundation. If you have discoloration or trouble spots on your face you may want to dab some concealer on the problem areas before you apply the foundation. By using concealer first you can get extra coverage. Foundation should be applied with a clean make up sponge or a foundation brush. Using your hands can spread bacteria or add extra oil.
Once you have your foundation blended evenly then you can finish it off with a loose or pressed powder.
The last step is to put on your mascara. Before the mascara is applied, put on your eyeliner. It is appealing on most individuals to line the top eye with a thin line along the length of the eye/eyelashes and not to line underneath, this can cause eyes to look tired.
When your eyeliner is done then you can apply eye shadow. Light colors for the base look best on most people. You can use a darker color in the outer corners to add depth and highlight your eyes.
After the eye shadow application is complete, carefully brush away any excess make up that may have fallen under your eyes. Lightly brush some powder all over your face one more time to set look.
Next add the blush. You don't want to use too much just enough to put the color back in your cheeks. This should be applied to the upper cheekbones and blended out toward the hairline. A bronzer can be used in place of blush for a more natural look.
The next application should be on your lips. You may want to use a lip base to ensure longer wear. Carefully line your lips along your natural lip line, and then fill them in with the desired color of lipstick. Make sure to use a gloss if your wanting a pouty look.

USE OF OLIVE OIL
The greatest exponent of monounsaturated fat is olive oil, and it is a prime component of the Mediterranean Diet. Olive oil is a natural juice which preserves the taste, aroma, vitamins and properties of the olive fruit. Olive oil is the only vegetable oil that can be consumed as it is - freshly pressed from the fruit.
The beneficial health effects of olive oil are due to both its high content of monounsaturated and its high content of antioxidative substances. Studies have shown that olive oil offers protection against heart disease by controlling LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels while raising HDL (the "good" cholesterol) levels. (1-3) No other naturally produced oil has as large an amount of monounsaturated as olive oil -mainly oleic acid.
Olive oil is very well tolerated by the stomach. In fact, olive oil's protective function has a beneficial effect on ulcers and gastritis. Olive oil activates the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones much more naturally than prescribed drugs. Consequently, it lowers the incidence of gallstone formation.
Studies have shown that people who consumed 25 milliliters (mL) - about 2 tablespoons - of virgin olive oil daily for 1 week showed less oxidation of LDL cholesterol and higher levels of antioxidant compounds, particularly phenols, in the blood.(4)
But while all types of olive oil are sources of monounsaturated fat, EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil, from the first pressing of the olives, contains higher levels of antioxidants, particularly vitamin E and phenols, because it is less processed.
Olive oil is clearly one of the good oils, one of the healing fats. Most people do quite well with it since it does not upset the critical omega 6 to omega 3 ratio and most of the fatty acids in olive oil are actually an omega-9 oil which is monounsaturated.
Olive oil and colon cancer
Spanish researchers suggest that including olive oil in your diet may also offer benefits in terms of colon cancer prevention (5). Their study results showed that rats fed diet supplemented with olive oil had a lower risk of colon cancer than those fed safflower oil-supplemented diets. In fact, the rats that received olive oil had colon cancer rates almost as low as those fed fish oil, which several studies have already linked to a reduction in colon cancer risk.
Types of olive oil
Generally, olive oil is extracted by pressing or crushing olives. Olive oil comes in different varieties, depending on the amount of processing involved. Varieties include:
Extra virgin - considered the best, least processed, comprising the oil from the first pressing of the olives.
Virgin - from the second pressing.
Pure - undergoes some processing, such as filtering and refining.
Extra light - undergoes considerable processing and only retains a very mild olive flavour.
When buying olive oil you will want to obtain a high quality EXTRA VIRGIN oil. The oil that comes from the first "pressing" of the olive, is extracted without using heat (a cold press) or chemicals, and has no "off" flavors is awarded "extra virgin" status. The less the olive oil is handled, the closer to its natural state, the better the oil. If the olive oil meets all the criteria, it can be designated as "extra virgin".
What is pure and light olive oil? "Pure" olive oil is made by adding a little extra virgin olive oil to refined olive oil. It is a lesser grade oil that is also labeled as just "olive oil" in the U.S.
"Light" olive oil is a marketing concept and not a classification of olive oil grades. It is completely unregulated by any certification organizations and therefore has no real precedent to what its content should be. Sometimes, the olive oil is cut with other vegetable oils.
HOW TO APPLY FOUNDATION
Apply a moisturizing sunscreen, moisturizer or primer that's perfect for your skin type. All foundations will go on more smoothly if the skin is well-hydrated. Foundation primer is my pick, because it creates a smooth surface for foundation. (Some makeup artists believe it's a crime not to prime).
Let the moisturizer, sunscreen or primer set for a few minutes.
Wipe off any excess moisturizer with a tissue. Greasy skin will make the foundation slip and slide.
Camouflouge your dark, under-eye circles with a Concealer. Pat, never rub, the concealer into skin.
Using a makeup sponge or the tips of your fingers, apply dots of foundation on your cheeks, chin, forehead and tip of the nose. Makeup artists swear by foundation brushes to apply product. They soak up less foundation and blend flawlessly.
Using the sponge, your fingertips or the foundation brush, blend the dots together. Pay special attention to your hairline and jawline to ensure there's no obvious line.
Set the foundation with loose powder immediately after application.
Tips:
HOW TO GET NICE GLOW ON YOUR FACE
Always apply a light moisturizer, under-eye cream and sun-screen before leaving your house. Even if you are not going out, a hint of tinted moisture does no harm.
If you want to get that glow, ensure there’s no trace of makeup before you go to bed. Use Makeup removers
Sleep does wonders to your skin, so try to get atleast 7 to 8 hours of rest everyday.
Try and go in for a massage and facial at least once a month. This will help tone your skin.
Drink lots of water, and if you can try to have at least 2 to 3 glasses of coconut water a day.
Work out is a good way to keep your skin healthy as it detoxifies the body. If you love to swim hit the pool everyday. For those who are not fond of water; you have the option of going for a jog.
food that is incompatible with each other should not be taken
Stick to a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables. Opt for salads instead of oily food. Use less oil while cooking. Try steaming, baking or roasting instead. It saves you a lot of calories, and is lighter to digest.
Is is also very important to go on a calorie binge at times. If gorging on a chocolate pastry makes you happy, go ahead. But remember to do this not more once a week. It could go the other way, and you may have to repent.
USES OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE H2O2
Throw out your harmful toxic disinfectants, cleaners, bleaches and insecticides!
Hydrogen peroxide is the only germicidal agent composed only of water and oxygen. Like ozone, it kills disease organisms by oxidation! Hydrogen peroxide is considered the worlds safest all natural effective surface* sanitizer. It kills microorganisms by oxidizing them, which can be best described as a controlled burning process. When hydrogen peroxide reacts with organic material it breaks down into oxygen and water.
Toothbrush: Soak your toothbrush in 3% hydrogen peroxide between brushings to kill bacteria and stop the passing of sickness to family members
Shower: Keep a spray bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the shower for spraying down the shower to kill bacteria bugs and viruses
In the dish wash/rinse water: Add 2 ounces (or more) of 3% hydrogen peroxide to the regular washing formula to safely sanitize and eliminate the tranmission of colds and diseases.
Washing meat: Use salt and 3% hydrogen peroxide in chilled water for washing fish, chicken or other meat to kill bacteria and viruses.
Cleansing for vegetables and salad greens: Add salt in addition to 1/4 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide to a sink full of cold water. Wash vegetables thoroughly, rinse with cold water and drain. This process prolongs freshness.
Leftover tossed salad: Spray with a solution of 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. Drain, cover and refrigerate. Eliminates use of chemical preservatives.
Marinade: Place meat, fish or poultry in a casserole (avoid using aluminum pans). Cover with a diluted solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Place in a loosely covered container in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Rinse and cook.
To freshen kitchen: Keep a spray bottle of 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide in the kitchen. Use to wipe off counter tops and appliances. It will disinfect and give the kitchen a clean, fresh small. Works great in the refrigerator and lunch boxes.
Humidifiers & steamers: Use 1 pint of 3% hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water. This helps keep them clean too.
Laundry: Add 8 ounces of 3% hydrogen peroxide to your wash in place of bleaches.
Pets: For small animals (dogs and cats) use 1 ounce 3% hydrogen peroxide to 1 quart water for their drinking water and bath.
House & Garden Plants: Put 1 ounce 3% hydrogen peroxide in 1-quart water. Water or mist plants with this solution.
Sprouting needs: Add 1 ounce 3% hydrogen peroxide to one pint of water and soak the seeds overnight. Add the same amount of hydrogen peroxide each time you rinse the seeds.
